Bill of Sale Contract & Health Guarantee (Updated 2026)

The kitten is guaranteed against a MAJOR CONGENITAL/GENETIC health defect causing death for one year from the date of birth. If the kitten dies as a result of a MAJOR CONGENITAL/GENETIC defect, a necropsy performed by a licensed veterinarian is required to determine the cause of death. If the necropsy confirms the death was directly caused by a MAJOR CONGENITAL/GENETIC defect covered under this guarantee, the Seller will provide a replacement kitten when a comparable replacement becomes available. Failure to provide necropsy documentation voids the replacement kitten.

“Under state law you have the right to inspect the official certificate of transfer containing a description and medical history of any dog or cat or ferret offered for transfer and to have a copy of such certificate for any animal you may obtain.”

“Under state law, within 14 days of transfer, you may have the dog, cat, or ferret examined by a licensed veterinarian of your choice.  Unless such exam indicates the animal is free of disease, you may obtain a substitution of a similar animal of equal value or, at your option, a full refund of any money exchanged for the animal, but only if within 2 business days of such examination you return the diseased animal to the premises along with a written statement from the veterinarian that the animal was not free from disease.” 

NO REFUNDS of any kind will be granted (outside of state law).

Due to the varied foods and environmental conditions the kittens come into contact with, and the fact that all kittens have immune systems that take time to mature, this guarantee recommends giving NuVet Plus® immune system builder, as directed by the manufacturer, for the entire guarantee period.  We also recommend you continue to give your pet NuVet Plus beyond the guarantee period to promote optimal health for a lifetime.

We have supplied documentation of 1st shots and worming, and that your new kitten is in good health as far as the seller knows when it leaves our property. We take no responsibility for medical conditions, illnesses, injuries, or expenses arising after the transfer of the kitten to the Buyer.  (Please note that while we breed certified, sound cats, most genetic defects are polygenic and can crop up in spite of every precaution.) Our guarantee to you is that we raise and breed healthy, sound cats. We do not guarantee against parasites and bacteria, as these are common stressors in kittens that have not had their full series of immunizations.

Seller will not be responsible for veterinarian charges of any kind and/or any monetary compensation whatsoever.  Buyer forfeits any future compensation they might seek in court. All shipping costs are the buyer’s responsibility.

I reserve the right to refuse the replacement of any kitten returned for temperament or health problems caused by owner negligence or abuse.  This includes, but is not limited to, overfeeding and improper socialization.

Buyers will receive a health record for the kitten at the time of purchase and are responsible for maintaining all health records thereafter. Otherwise, the purchase guarantee is voided. This contract is non-transferable.
